Donald Trump, Jr. and wife close to reaching divorce settlement

Whenever celebrity or power couples announce that their marriage has come to an end, it is common to hear that the two sides are preparing for a protracted battle. In many of these situations, there are children involved, and a custody dispute can be a root cause for a contentious divorce. However, not every dissolution results in a years-long process, and South Carolina residents can seek the guidance of professionals in order to resolve these disputes as painlessly and quickly as possible.

Recently, Donald Trump, Jr. and his soon-to-be-ex-wife made an appearancen in court for a routine hearing related to their divorce filing. According to their lawyers, the two parties have managed to reach an accord concerning the custody of their five children. They are purportedly also close to working out the property division aspect of their pending settlement agreement.

The judge offered his approval on the fact that the former couple were able to place the well-being of their children first by avoiding the need for intrusive court litigation to determine a parenting plan. The brief hearing was the first to be held since Vanessa Trump filed her divorce petition earlier this year. Though the circumstances surrounding the divorce are unclear, neither side contested it.

Attorneys for both sides expressed the hope that the remaining issues could be resolved in the coming weeks, as it was stated that they are in agreement over most of the details concerning the financial settlement. For many South Carolina parents, finding the best child custody solution is the most difficult divorce issue to resolve. It may be in their best interest to seek the assistance of an experienced family law attorney who can help devise a parenting plan and proposed settlement agreement designed to meet the future needs of the client, consistent with the best interests of the children involved.
